Worsted Count is the number of hanks ( skeins) having the length of 560 yards in one pound of yarn is called worsted count. The fineness of yarn increases when yarn count increases in this system. Worsted Count is usually measured using the Yard per Grain for Indirect Yarn Count. Note that the value of Worsted Count is always positive.
Can the Worsted Count be negative?
No, the Worsted Count, measured in Indirect Yarn Count cannot be negative.
