FAQ

What is the Velocity?
Velocity is the rate of change of an object’s position with respect to time, used in superelevation design to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow. Velocity is usually measured using the Meter per Second for Speed. Note that the value of Velocity is always positive. Typically, the value of Velocity lies in the range from 0 to 500.
Can the Velocity be negative?
No, the Velocity, measured in Speed cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Velocity?
Velocity is usually measured using the Meter per Second[m/s] for Speed. Meter per Minute[m/s], Meter per Hour[m/s], Kilometer per Hour[m/s] are the few other units in which Velocity can be measured.
