What is the Ultimate Load?
The ultimate load is the absolute maximum magnitude of load that a component or system can sustain, limited only by failure. It is the limit Load multiplied by a prescribed Safety Factor of 1.5. Ultimate Load is usually measured using the Pound for Weight. Note that the value of Ultimate Load is always negative.
Can the Ultimate Load be negative?

What unit is used to measure Ultimate Load?
