FAQ

What is the Static Temperature?
The Static Temperature is the temperature of the air at a point in the boundary layer, unaffected by the heat generated by friction. Static Temperature is usually measured using the Kelvin for Temperature. Note that the value of Static Temperature is always positive.
Can the Static Temperature be negative?
No, the Static Temperature, measured in Temperature cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Static Temperature?
Static Temperature is usually measured using the Kelvin[K] for Temperature. Celsius[K], Fahrenheit[K], Rankine[K] are the few other units in which Static Temperature can be measured.
