FAQ

What is the Safe Stress?
Safe Stress is based on the yield strength of the material and is defined as the yield strength divided by a factor of safety. Safe Stress is usually measured using the Megapascal for Pressure. Note that the value of Safe Stress is always positive.
Can the Safe Stress be negative?
No, the Safe Stress, measured in Pressure cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Safe Stress?
Safe Stress is usually measured using the Megapascal[MPa] for Pressure. Pascal[MPa], Kilopascal[MPa], Bar[MPa] are the few other units in which Safe Stress can be measured.
