FAQ

What is the Rotor Current?
Rotor Current in an induction motor is the current that flows in the rotor windings. It is induced in the rotor windings by the rotating magnetic field produced by the stator windings. Rotor Current is usually measured using the Ampere for Electric Current. Note that the value of Rotor Current is always positive.
Can the Rotor Current be negative?
No, the Rotor Current, measured in Electric Current cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Rotor Current?
Rotor Current is usually measured using the Ampere[A] for Electric Current. Milliampere[A], Microampere[A], Centiampere[A] are the few other units in which Rotor Current can be measured.
