FAQ

What is the Induced Velocity?
Induced Velocity is used to associate the aerodynamic elements that model the lifting surfaces of an aircraft, or the blades of a helicopter rotor when some inflow-related computations are required. Induced Velocity is usually measured using the Meter per Second for Speed. Note that the value of Induced Velocity is always positive.
Can the Induced Velocity be negative?
No, the Induced Velocity, measured in Speed cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Induced Velocity?
Induced Velocity is usually measured using the Meter per Second[m/s] for Speed. Meter per Minute[m/s], Meter per Hour[m/s], Kilometer per Hour[m/s] are the few other units in which Induced Velocity can be measured.
