FAQ

What is the Incident Power?
Incident Power w.r.t optics is the amount of optical power (light energy) incident on the photodetector. Incident Power is usually measured using the Microwatt for Power. Note that the value of Incident Power is always positive.
Can the Incident Power be negative?
No, the Incident Power, measured in Power cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Incident Power?
Incident Power is usually measured using the Microwatt[µW] for Power. Watt[µW], Kilowatt[µW], Milliwatt[µW] are the few other units in which Incident Power can be measured.
