Feed Rate refers to the speed at which the cutting tool advances against the workpiece. It essentially controls how much material is removed with each pass of the tool. Feed Rate is usually measured using the Millimeter Per Revolution for Feed. Note that the value of Feed Rate is always positive.
Can the Feed Rate be negative?
No, the Feed Rate, measured in Feed cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Feed Rate?
Feed Rate is usually measured using the Millimeter Per Revolution[mm/rev] for Feed. Meter Per Revolution[mm/rev] are the few other units in which Feed Rate can be measured.
