FAQ

What is the Dry Unit Weight?
Dry Unit Weight of soil is the weight of soil solids per unit of total volume of soil mass. Dry Unit Weight is usually measured using the Kilonewton per Cubic Meter for Specific Weight. Note that the value of Dry Unit Weight is always positive.
Can the Dry Unit Weight be negative?
No, the Dry Unit Weight, measured in Specific Weight cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Dry Unit Weight?
Dry Unit Weight is usually measured using the Kilonewton per Cubic Meter[kN/m³] for Specific Weight. Newton per Cubic Meter[kN/m³], Newton per Cubic Centimeter[kN/m³], Newton per Cubic Millimeter[kN/m³] are the few other units in which Dry Unit Weight can be measured.
