FAQ

What is the Discharge?
Discharge is the volume of water that flows through a cross-section of a river, stream, or other hydraulic systems per unit of time. Discharge is usually measured using the Cubic Meter per Second for Volumetric Flow Rate. Note that the value of Discharge is always positive.
Can the Discharge be negative?
No, the Discharge, measured in Volumetric Flow Rate cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Discharge?
Discharge is usually measured using the Cubic Meter per Second[m³/s] for Volumetric Flow Rate. Cubic Meter per Day[m³/s], Cubic Meter per Hour[m³/s], Cubic Meter per Minute[m³/s] are the few other units in which Discharge can be measured.
