What is the Approach Distance?
Approach Distance is the extra distance the drill travels before it starts cutting into the workpiece. It allows the tool to reach its cutting speed and position itself properly for an accurate hole. Approach Distance is usually measured using the Millimeter for Length. Note that the value of Approach Distance is always positive.
Can the Approach Distance be negative?
No, the Approach Distance, measured in Length cannot be negative.
What unit is used to measure Approach Distance?
